BIO ~ Nancy Sims

Author

Nancy Sims is an author of three books: Verbal Snacks, Verbal Snacks II, and a collaborative novel titled Detours. 

She is a strong advocate for the literary arts and has served on several Palm Beach County Cultural Arts Advisory Councils. Her work has been showcased at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts and NPR. She is also known for conducting engaging and thought-provoking writing workshops. 

Raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she attended Chatham University and Eastern Virginia 

Verbal Snacks II is the second installment in a series of short story collections. This edition focuses on the creative use of the alphabet A–Z, with each story built around playful word usage and language expression. These inter-generational stories highlight how we all engage in wordplay in everyday life. Each “morsel” may trigger personal memories or reflect experiences that shape our journeys. 

The collection explores themes across all stages of life—from childhood memories to everyday situations—designed to evoke reflection, nostalgia, and connection with the reader’s own life experiences.
