Bio ~ Bob Kelly 

Independent Author 

I grew up on the West Side of Chicago in the Austin Neighborhood before moving with my mother, brother and new stepfather to the North shore suburbs of Glencoe when I was thirteen. There, I continued to play football and basketball and singing in the Catholic Church choir.  

Reading was already a passion for me early on since I was reading at a twelfth-grade level in sixth grade. Consequently, I was reading a wide range of books before leaving grade school.

I attended New Trier East High School where I played basketball and continued reading voraciously. 
I went on to the University of Wisconsin Madison graduating with a degree in English Literature.  

After that I worked selling athletic apparel to school systems in Chicagoland and coached basketball professionally in Austria before enrolling at Chicago-Kent College of Law earning a JD in 1981.
